The South Plainfield Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Bishop Charles P Greco Assembly #2147 held there annual luncheon on June 12th for over 30 Veterans and there spouses from the Menlo Park Veterans Home who served in World War II, the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
Every year the Knights celebrate all that the Veterans have given back to the United States for our undying freedom.
The Veterans were served a gourmet meal of Filet Mignon steaks and Crab Cakes, baked potatoes and Broccoli and fresh baked desserts.
After dinner the Veterans had a special treat with world famous Magician John Bundy (who is also a South Plainfield Knight of Columbus Member) and his externally talented Assistant Morgan gave a special magic show.
Organizer of the event was 4th degree Faithful Navigator Joe Scrudato, who would like to thank the following Knights for the help in making this a very special day for our veterans. Master Executive Chef Joe McGeehan who cooked all of the food and servers: Grand Knight Ton Pollock, Tom and Nolan Berry, Ted Rubino, Jim Vokral, Bill Butrico, Tom Walsh, Phil Thomas and Youth Squire Jack Scrudato. As well John Bundy and Morgan for taking time out there very busy schedules to support this event every year.
