On July 29th the South Plainfield Knights of Columbus Council #6203 shined brightly again and helped one of their own residents in there time of need.

South Plainfield High School Student Patricia Lacasale who injured her foot a while ago, has not been able to walk and has been wheel chair bound for quite some time parents Joe and Danielle asked the Knights if they could help build a handicapped ramp for their daughter.

So Past Grand Knight and Master Ramp Builder Bill Butrico sprang into action.

With the need to install the ramp quickly with school starting up again in September. The Knights volunteers built and installed the ramp in just 1 day.

All of the costs to build the ramp were donated by the Knights which came from there Special Charity Fund. This fund which has been funded by their NY Giants Season tickets raffle that were donated to the South Plainfield Knights of Columbus the past 5 years by recently passed away Knights Member Ed Kubala. While Ed was living he did not want any fellow Knights members or residents to know of his most generous donation.
