Family of the Year 2022

The Longo Family

On June 7th The South Plainfield Knights of Columbus Council #6203 handed out their End of Year council awards. During the meeting Grand Knight Tom Berryk presented the 2022 South Plainfield Knights of Columbus Family of the Year Award to Bob and Candi Longo.

Bob and Candi Longo are the South Plainfield Knights of Columbus Family of the Year.

Bob and Candi have served an essential role in our annual Lenten Fish dinner events for the past nine years, making them a great success for the Council and community.

Bob and Candi budge for and purchase all the food required for the six dinners held each year. This is a huge undertaking! This year, the Council served almost 1,000 dinners covering an assortment of fish, pasta, desert, rice, and bread. Covid forced the Council to implement a take-out only event the past two years amid rising food costs. Bob and Candi readily made adjustments to keep the same level of quality and efficiency so we can keep this important event going. Bob has been a Knight since 2000.

The Longo's epitomizes what the Knight of Columbus Family of the year winner stand for with the full support of the Church, Youth, and South Plainfield Community activities.

The South Plainfield Knights of Columbus wish to thank Bob and Candi for their commitment and services.

When you see Bob and Candi around South Plainfield, congratulate them on this very worthy honors.
